Layers (Five Colour Statements)

This started off an experiment in harmony and orchestration, however I think it works as a piece in its own right.
It has quarter tones in it. These are the notes in between those of the piano. However, string players can get them with ease, especially when they're first learning :-)

Birthday Thoughts

Seven short pieces derived fromthe tune "Happy Birthday". It's in there more than you think.... I wrote these pieces to show to a disbelieving / sceptical group just what is possible with even the simplest tune and a little imagination Sometimes obvious, Sometimes not,
Happy Birthday's chopped a lot.
